Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Oscillation criteria for impulsive dynamic equations on time scales

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2007
Oscillation criteria for impulsive dynamic equations on time scales are obtained via impulsive inequality. An example is given to show that the impulses play a dominant part in the oscillations of dynamic equations on time scales.

The nonlinear Schroedinger equation: Solitons dynamics

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2010
In this paper we investigate the dynamics of solitons occurring in the nonlinear Schroedinger equation when a parameter h->0. We prove that under suitable assumptions, the the soliton approximately follows the dynamics of a point particle, namely, the motion of its barycenter $q_h(t)$ satisfies the equation $ddot{q}_h(t)+\nabla V(q_h(t))=H_h(t ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Hamilton–Jacobi equations for nonholonomic dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2005
We derive generalized Hamilton–Jacobi equations for dynamical systems subject to linear velocity constraints. As long as a solution of the generalized Hamilton–Jacobi equation exists, the action is actually minimized (not just extremized).

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Certain Novel Dynamic Inequalities Applicable in the Theory of Retarded Dynamic Equations and Their Applications

open access: yesMathematics
In this article, we establish certain time-scale-retarded dynamic inequalities that contain nonlinear retarded integral equations on various time scales. These inequalities extend and generalize some significant inequalities existing in the literature to

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Improved Hille-Type and Ohriska-Type Criteria for Half-Linear Third-Order Dynamic Equations

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we examine the oscillatory behavior of solutions to a class of half-linear third-order dynamic equations with deviating arguments α2(η)ϕδ2α1ηϕδ1uΔ(η)ΔΔ+p(η)ϕδu(g(η))=0, on an arbitrary unbounded-above time scale T, where η∈[η0,∞)T:=[η0 ...
