Investigation of Oxygen‐Free Wetting Behavior of Aluminum on Copper via Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The wettability of aluminum droplets (Al) on different copper substrates (Cu), where liquid Al spreads on solid Cu surfaces to form a liquid–solid interface, is studied numerically and experimentally. The experimental and numerical results show good agreement in the fast‐spreading regime.

Study on the Calculation Model of Free Point Depth of Circular Arc Well

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2018
The calculation of the free point depth of tubular is of great significance to the entire workover process. The previous calculation model does not take the well inclination and dynamic friction factor into consideration, resulting in a large error ...

Research on Nonlinear Dynamics Modeling and Simulation of Harmonic Gear Drive

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2021
Due to the particularity of the structure, the hysteretic stiffness and dynamic friction belong to the inherent properties of harmonic gear drive. Traditional models consider the stiffness as a fixed stiffness or segmented stiffness model, and the friction

Financial Frictions and New Exporter Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2014
This article studies the role of financial frictions as a barrier to international trade. We study new exporter dynamics to identify how these frictions affect export decisions. We introduce a borrowing constraint and working capital requirements into a standard model of international trade, with exports more working capital intensive than domestic ...

Rafting of Ni‐Based Superalloys Under Multiaxial Load as Understood by Phase‐Field Simulations and Critical Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Improving the energy efficiency of power transmissions of a rolling stock on the basis of dynamic anisotropy of frictional contact [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
The analysis showed the following tendencies of development and energy efficiency of designs of gearboxes for track machines: provision of a maximum level of efficiency, removal of rupture of a stream of the passed capacity, provision of a high level of ...

DYNAMICAL FRICTION AROUND SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLES [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2011
The density of stars in galactic bulges is often observed to be flat or slowly rising inside the influence radius of the supermassive black hole (SMBH). Attributing the dynamical friction force to stars moving more slowly than the test body, as is commonly done, is likely to be a poor approximation in such a core since there are no stars moving more ...

Numerical Exploration of Thermal Shock Resistance in MgO–C Refractories

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A mesostructure‐resolved numerical framework is developed to evaluate the thermal shock resistance of MgO–C refractories. By modeling interface debonding under rapid temperature changes and introducing a modified thermal shock parameter that accounts for mesocracks, the study shows how graphite content and aggregate size influence thermal shock ...

Application of composite flexible body modeling method in the analysis of friction hoist dynamic stress response

open access: yesMathematical and Computer Modelling of Dynamical Systems
In order to obtain the dynamic stress response of the drum and main shaft of a friction hoist under dynamic loads, a dynamic stress calculation model for the friction hoist was constructed based on the flexible multibody modelling method.
