Scaling law for dynamical hysteresis

Physical Review Letters, 1990
A one-dimensional theory of dynamical hysteresis in periodically switched bistable systems is formulated. The predictions of the theory are tested and verified by experiments on a bistable semiconductor laser. We find that the increase of the area of the hysteresis loop scales as the two-thirds power of the switching frequency.

Dynamics of a simple hysteresis network

Proceedings of IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems - ISCAS '94, 2002
In order to approach the explication of rich dynamics from a large scale nonlinear network, this paper analyses a continuous time hysteresis network whose cross connection is uniform. This system has only two parameters. Applying an efficient piecewise linear technique for a binary hysteresis element, we can clarify the existence condition of periodic ...

A new dynamic model of hysteresis in harmonic drives

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2003
In this paper, we propose a new dynamic model to describe the hysteresis phenomenon in harmonic drives. The experimental observation of the dynamic torque-displacement relationship for a harmonic drive shows a hysteresis characteristic indicating the ...

Hysteresis in structural dynamics

Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2012
Abstract In this paper the Preisach hysteresis model is applied to determine the dynamic behavior of a steel column with mass on the top and loaded by an impulse force. The column is considered as a rigid element, while the fixed end of the column is modeled with a rotational spring of hysterestic characteristic.

Dynamic and hysteresis losses

Physica Scripta, 1989
A measuring procedure has been developed to determine the hysteresis loss as function of the magnetizing frequency. It was applied to single crystal frames of iron-silicon and tape wound cores of that alloy and metallic glasses. Actually the hysteresis loss energy is frequency dependent and to an extent that must not be neglected if the dynamic loss ...

Systematic Hysteresis Analysis for Dynamic Comparators

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2019
Comparator hysteresis is a memory phenomenon allowing outputs maintaining their past stable states until the input difference overcomes a given threshold voltage. In some applications, such as ADCs and memories, hysteresis is a deterministic error that should be minimized.

Dynamic hysteresis in magnetostrictive amorphous microwires

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2002
Summary form only given. Amorphous magnetostrictive wires exhibit very rapid bistable magnetisation reversal (large Barkhausen jump). This property makes them unique for applications in security sensors and pulse generators. As operational frequencies become progressively higher, there is an interest in studying the magnetisation reversal in bistable ...

Entropic dynamical hysteresis in a driven system

Physical Review E, 2012
We show that the application of a time periodic field driving a Brownian particle between the two lobes of a two-dimensional bilobal enclosure results in a hysteresis loop in the variation of integrated probability of residence of the particle as a function of the field.

Dynamical aspects of the adsorption hysteresis phenomenon

Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2007
Equilibrium and nonequilibrium transport properties of adsorbates in mesoporous Vycor porous glass have been experimentally studied using nuclear magnetic resonance techniques. With the known geometrical characteristics of porous glass and with measured self-diffusivities, transient sorption curves have been quantitatively compared to those predicted ...

A dynamic hysteresis model

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1988
The static hysteresis model which is based on Frohlich equations is extended to simulate the dynamic B-H behavior including hysteresis. In order to describe the dynamic model, the following conditions are required: the magnetizing curve, the relationship between H/sub c/ with H/sub m/ (or B/sub m/) and B/sub r/ with B/sub m/ (or H/sub m/); and the fact
