Shape fluctuation-induced dynamic hysteresis

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2012
We consider a system of Brownian particles confined in a two-dimensional bilobal enclosure whose walls are driven in time periodically by an external perturbation. The response of the particles under shape modulation is characterized by a relaxational delay which results in a non-vanishing area of the response function—field loop, response function ...

Modified Dynamic Preisach Model for Hysteresis

AIAA Journal, 2009
We propose a dynamic hysteresis model developed using a modified version of the Preisach hysteresis operator to simulate the change in electrical resistance with strain in conductive polymer nanocomposites. Result of the conductivity test on a conductive polymer nanocomposite sample has been presented to show its hysteretic variation of resistance with

The neural dynamics for hysteresis in visual perception

Neurocomputing, 2011
The hysteresis in the perception has been observed in many perceptual experiments, but little is known about the underlying dynamical mechanism. We simulate a visual discrimination task, as an example of hysteresis in the perception, using a spiking neuron network and the corresponding slow dynamic system.

Generalization of a model of hysteresis for dynamical systems

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2002
A previously described model of hysteresis [J. C. Piquette and S. E. Forsythe, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 106, 3317–3327 (1999); 106, 3328–3334 (1999)] is generalized to apply to a dynamical system. The original model produces theoretical hysteresis loops that agree well with laboratory measurements acquired under quasi-static conditions.

Role of hysteresis in stomatal aperture dynamics

Physical Review E, 2013
Stomata are pores responsible for gas exchange in leaves. Several experiments indicate that stomata synchronize into clusters or patches. The patches' coordination may produce oscillations in stomatal conductance. Previous studies claim to reproduce some experimental results.

Dynamics of a New Hysteresis Memristor CNN

2020 European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design (ECCTD), 2020
In this paper we study a new class of hysteresis memristor CNN (HM-CNN). The model under investigations contains a simpler state equation with hysteresis operator in the feedback circuit and resonant tunnel diode in the output. The dynamics is studied in different regions depending on hysteresis nonlinearity.

Dynamic Response of Nonlinear Oscillators With Hysteresis

Volume 6: 11th International Conference on Multibody Systems, Nonlinear Dynamics, and Control, 2015
The nonlinear features of the steady-state periodic response of hysteretic oscillators are investigated. Frequency-response curves of base-excited single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) systems possessing different hysteretic restoring forces are numerically obtained employing a continuation procedure based on the Jacobian of the Poincaré map.

Dynamic modeling of magnetic hysteresis

Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 1970
Magnetic hysteresis rods have been used successfully for damping the attitude motions of passively stabilized near-Earth satellites. This paper describes the implementation of a model of magnetic hysteresis that is suitable for digital computer simulations of such motions.

A hysteresis-based chaotic circuit: dynamics and applications

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 1999
A chaotic circuit based on a hysteretic mechanism is presented and analyzed. In Section 2, the circuit is presented, and a qualitative analysis of its behaviour is made. In Sections 3 and 4, the dynamic behaviour of the circuit is studied in depth, and the results of some numerical simulations are reported.
