Dynamic network model of banking system stability [PDF]
This paper presents a dynamic model of banking interactions, which uses interbank connections to study the stability of the banking system. The dynamic model extends previous work on network models of the banking system taking inspiration from large ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Uncertainty propagation in locally damped dynamic systems [PDF]
In the field of stochastic structural dynamics, perturbation methods are widely used to estimate the response statistics of uncertain systems. When large built up systems are to be modelled in the mid-frequency range, perturbation methods are often ...

Dynamic Levels in Classical and Romantic Keyboard Music: Effect of Musical Mode
An analysis of dynamic markings in 140 works representing three musical periods (Classical, early Romantic, late Romantic) is reported. We tested the hypothesis that minor-mode music from the Romantic period is more likely to exhibit louder dynamic ...

Theory of dynamic mode-II delamination in end-loaded split tests
The dynamic mode-II energy release rate (ERR) of the end-loaded split (ELS) test with applied time-dependent displacement is derived for the first time with the effect of vibration included.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Modelling the effects of air pollution on health using Bayesian dynamic generalised linear models [PDF]
The relationship between short-term exposure to air pollution and mortality or morbidity has been the subject of much recent research, in which the standard method of analysis uses Poisson linear or additive models.
