Differences in protein mobility between pioneer versus follower growth cones [PDF]
Navigating growth cones need to integrate, process and respond to guidance signals, requiring dynamic information transfer within and between different compartments.

Dynamic parity recovery in a strongly driven Cooper-pair box [PDF]
We study a superconducting charge qubit coupled to an intensive electromagnetic field and probe changes in the resonance frequency of the formed dressed states. At large driving strengths, exceeding the qubit energy-level splitting, this reveals the well

Softening Mechanisms of the AISI 410 Martensitic Stainless Steel Under Hot Torsion Simulation [PDF]
This study investigated the softening mechanisms of the AISI 410 martensitic stainless steel during torsion simulation under isothermal continuous in the temperature range of 900 to 1150 °C and strain rates of 0.1 to 5.0s-1.

Shape Memory Polyurethane-Based Smart Polymer Substrates for Physiologically Responsive, Dynamic Pressure (Re)Distribution. [PDF]
Shape memory polymers (SMPs) are an exciting class of stimuli-responsive smart materials that demonstrate reactive and reversible changes in mechanical property, usually by switching between different states due to external stimuli.

Reversing Lindblad Dynamics via Continuous Petz Recovery Map [PDF]
An important issue in developing quantum technology is that quantum states are so sensitive to noise. We propose a protocol that introduces reverse dynamics, in order to precisely control quantum systems against noise described by the Lindblad master equation. The reverse dynamics can be obtained by constructing the Petz recovery map in continuous time.

Spontaneous recovery in dynamical networks [PDF]
Much research has been carried out to explore the structural properties and vulnerability of complex networks. Of particular interest are abrupt dynamic events that cause networks to irreversibly fail. However, in many real-world phenomena, such as brain seizures in neuroscience or sudden market crashes in finance, after an inactive period of time a ...

General dynamic recovery for compensating CSP [PDF]
Compensation is a technique to roll-back a system to a consistent state in case of failure. Recovery mechanisms for compensating calculi specify the order of execution of compensation sequences.
