Dynamic recrystallization kinetics of ZK60 magnesium alloy during hot deformation

open access: yes, 2011
The kinetics of dynamic recrystallization of ZK60 magnesium alloy was investigated by compression tests at temperature of 200−400 ℃ and strain rate of 0.001−10 s−1. The flow stress curves considering only dynamic recovery was described by EM model. Based

A Compact Hollow Fiber Electrode Assembly Architecture for Continuous Electrochemical Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A coaxial, membrane‐integrated hollow fiber electrode assembly (HFEA) is developed for continuous marine carbon mineralization. By utilizing a sub‐millimeter inter‐electrode gap, the HFEA minimizes Ohmic losses, achieving 50% energy reduction and over 85% DIC removal.

Population balance modeling and digital design of degree of agglomeration in industrial crystallization

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract This study presents a coupled population balance model (PBM) for describing the degree‐of‐agglomeration (DoA) in crystallization by independently tracking total particle and agglomerate number densities. Applied to an industrial active pharmaceutical ingredient, the model outperformed bridge‐counting methods and accurately captured DoA trends ...
