A Novel Dynamic Voltage Restorer

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper author has tried to present a new approach for integrating grid connected photo voltaic (PV) system together with a self supported dynamic voltage restorer (DVR). In this paper author has also tried to present different three topologies of DVR,the suggested three topologies are filtering schemes,dc - link capacitor and three phase four ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

An Investigation of Power Quality Problems in a Remote Mine Site in Papua New Guinea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Investigation and monitoring of power quality is necessary to maintain accurate operation of sensitive equipment. Electrical power systems of mines with their sophisticated technology will always have a need for monitoring power quality to ensure that ...

Design and operation of a cryogenic charge-integrating preamplifier for the MuSun experiment

open access: yes, 2014
The central detector in the MuSun experiment is a pad-plane time projection ionization chamber that operates without gas amplification in deuterium at 31 K; it is used to measure the rate of the muon capture process $\mu^- + d \rightarrow n + n + \nu_\mu$

A Comprehensive Review of Low-Voltage-Ride-Through Methods for Fixed-Speed Wind Power Generators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper presents a comprehensive review of various techniques employed to enhance the low voltage ride through (LVRT) capability of the fixed-speed induction generators (FSIGs)-based wind turbines (WTs), which has a non-negligible 20% contribution of ...

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Enhanced Power Quality in Photovoltaic-Fed Dynamic Voltage Restorer Using an Adaptive Grey Wolf Optimization Algorithm for Multilevel Inverter Control [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
In this paper, we investigate the power quality improvement in a photovoltaic-fed dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) system by utilizing a multilevel inverter controlled through the Adaptive Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
