Tackling cancer stemness with nanotechnology in the era of precision medicine

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Precise customization of nanoparticles (NPs) enables active targeting of cancer stem cells (CSCs), thereby improving drug delivery and therapeutic efficacy. NP‐based probing enhances CSC detection through imaging and liquid biopsy, whereas diverse therapeutic payloads improve therapeutic outcomes.

Orchestrating the metastatic symphony: the role of extracellular vesicles in the epithelial–mesenchymal transition and pulmonary niche formation of breast cancer

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The complexity of breast cancer (BC) lung metastasis lies in the capacity of tumour cells to interact efficiently with distant organs to promote colonisation, a process that involves the sophisticated coordination of inherent cellular plasticity and the remodelling of the distant microenvironment.

Oocyte–cumulus cell interaction: a key factor in early embryo development

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The evaluation of oocyte competence is a fundamental step in achieving successful outcomes following assisted reproduction techniques (ART). At present, however, conventional oocyte maturation assessment is carried out by morphological observation, which is a subjective method that does not consider molecular features.

Intravenous Lipopolysaccharide Challenge in Healthy Participants Reveals Pharmacodynamic Markers in Blood and Bone Marrow for Early‐Phase Oncology Drug Development

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Demonstrating pharmacological effects in early‐phase oncology clinical trials remains challenging, largely due to the lack of robust pharmacodynamic markers. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is used as an immune challenge agent in healthy participants to study drugs for autoimmune conditions.

Clinical Validation of a QSP Model for ISB 2001, a Trispecific T Cell Engager to Support Optimal FIH Study Design in RRMM Patients

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
ISB 2001 is a trispecific antibody that binds to two tumor‐associated antigens (TAA), CD38 and BCMA, and crosslinks to CD3 on T cells resulting in T cell‐mediated cytotoxicity of tumor cells expressing these TAAs. ISB 2001 is currently being tested in relapsed and/or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) patients in the first‐in‐human (FIH) TRIgnite‐1 ...
