Zinc Deficiency Disrupts Germ Cell Nest Breakdown During In Vitro Ovary Culture

open access: yesMolecular Reproduction and Development, Volume 93, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT In mammals, the size of the non‐renewable primordial follicle pool is established before or soon after birth. Primordial follicles, each composed of a single oocyte surrounded by somatic cells, are the only source of gametes during the entire reproductive lifespan of the female.

Financial technology, macroeconomic uncertainty, and commercial banks’ proactive risk-taking in China

open access: yesChina Economic Quarterly International, 2023
In this paper, we collect the annual data of 145 commercial banks in China from 2010 to 2019 and use a panel data fixed-effect model to study how fintech (financial technology) affects the influence of macroeconomic uncertainty on commercial banks ...

Thermal Conductive Network Construction and Enhanced Thermal Conductivity in Mica Tape Composites for Large Generators by Pre‐Placed h‐BN@PDA‐Modified Mica Paper

open access: yesHigh Voltage, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 223-232, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The lower thermal conductivity (TC) of mica tape hinders the evolution of large generators towards higher voltage and capacity. To enhance the TC of the mica tape, with the help of the three‐dimensional (3D) multi‐layer framework of the mica paper, a 3D polydopamine‐coated boron nitride (h‐BN@PDA) TC network was constructed by pre‐placing h‐BN@

Insect I‐Type Lysozymes Function as Antiviral Proteases by Forming Biomolecular Condensates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 1, 5 January 2026.
Upon rice viral infection, the insect vector activates the Toll–MyD88–Dorsal signaling cascade, inducing i‐type lysozyme (Lyz‐I1) expression. Lyz‐I1 functions as an antiviral protease through its conserved catalytic dyad Glu/Asp (E/D), mediating cleavage of viral proteins at specific Lys (K) residues.

Aerobic methane production in marine ecosystems

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography Letters, Volume 11, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Oceans are considered significant methane sources, but the origin of methane in oxic surface seawaters remains unknown. Here, we collected seawater from the Jiulong River Estuary, Taiwan Strait, and Arctic Ocean to explore the potential for aerobic methane production.

An efficient optimization algorithm for electric vehicle routing problem

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
1. To minimize the cost of travel and travel time for electric vehicles (EVs) while considering constraints on battery capacity, charging time, and delivery/pickup requirements. 2. To find the most efficient route to charging stations to address the issue of range anxiety and the scarcity of charging infrastructure. 3.

Electric Field‐Stimulated Autofluorescence for In Situ 3D Characterization of Polymer Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 45, December 4, 2025.
Moderate electric fields induce intrinsic autofluorescence at microscale defects within diverse polymers under laser excitation. Combined with confocal microscopy, this probe‐free method enables real‐time, submicron‐resolution 3D imaging of voids, fillers, and electrical trees before irreversible damage occurs.

Improvement of Mechanical Performance of Large Capacity Dry‐Type On‐Board Traction Transformer Under Short‐Circuit Electromagnetic Force

open access: yesHigh Voltage, Volume 10, Issue 6, Page 1558-1570, December 2025.
ABSTRACT The application of dry‐type on‐board traction transformers (D‐OBTTs) aims to achieve lightweight electric multiple units (EMUs) and support the approach for carbon neutrality. However, the production of large capacity D‐OBTTs are limited due to the defects in insulation materials under the impact of short‐circuit electromagnetic force.

Not all money is created equal: The concept of a hierarchy of money

open access: yesReview of Economic Perspectives
The concept of a hierarchy of money or the idea that a number of instruments constitute money and that they are hierarchically related to one another is relatively recent and yet quite widespread.
