Chemical communication in horse-chestnut leafminer Cameraria ohridella Deschka & Dimić.

open access: yesPlant Protection Science, 1999
Females of the horse-chestnut leafminer Cameraria ohridella Deschka & Dimić (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae) produce a highly attractive sex pheromone in the early photophase.

Differential in infant, childhood and under-five death clustering among the empowered and non-empowered action group regions in India

open access: yesBMC Public Health, 2021
Background With 8,82,000 deaths in the under-five period, India observed varied intra-state and inter-regional differences across infant and child mortality in 2018. However, scarce literature is present to capture this unusual concentration of mortality

Rapid Monitoring of the Abundance and Spread of Exotic Annual Grasses in the Western United States Using Remote Sensing and Machine Learning

open access: yesAGU Advances, 2021
Exotic annual grasses (EAG) are one of the most damaging agents of change in western North America. Despite known socio‐environmental effects of EAG there remains a need to enhance monitoring capabilities for better informing conservation and management ...

The role of plant odours in the leafminer Liriomyza sativae (Diptera: Agromyzidae) and its parasitoid Diglyphus isaea (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae): Orientation towards the host habitat

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Entomology, 2002
Electroantennogram responses of the polyphagous leafminer Liriomyza sativae and its generalist parasitoid Diglyphus isaea to host and non-host plant odours of L. sativae were investigated. The odours of healthy leaves can elicit distinct EAG responses in

Electrophysiological and behavioural responses of female Isoceras sibirica (Lepidoptera: Cossidae) to volatiles produced by the plant, Asparagus officinalis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Entomology, 2017
In herbivorous insects plant volatiles have an important role in locating mates and oviposition sites. The aim of this study was to test the antennal and behavioural responses of females of Isoceras sibirica Alpheraky (Lepidoptera: Cossidae) to the ...

Health Inequalities in Under-Five Mortality: An Assessment of Empowered Action Group (EAG) States of India

open access: yesJournal of Health Economics and Outcomes Research, 2020
# Background The effect of childhood well-being programs is commonly interconnected with a change in mortality trends. The proportion of disparity shows that inequality in child mortality is more collective in the similarly evolved states than the poorer

Chirality‐Driven Piezocatalysis in MOFs: Achieving Efficient Cocatalyst‐Free Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We report a chirality‐driven post‐synthetic modification strategy that grafts chiral L‐histidine (L‐His) onto the Hf6 clusters of MOF‐808(Hf), which significantly boosts the piezoelectricity and charge transfer efficiency, thus significantly enhancing the piezocatalytic performance of MOF‐808(Hf).

Electroantennogram responses of Batocera horsfieldi (Hope) to the selected volatile components of host plants, Rosa cymosa Tratt. and Rosa multiflora Thunb.

open access: yesGlobal Ecology and Conservation, 2022
To screen for host volatile components for effectively monitoring and trapping Batocera horsfieldi Hope (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae), Headspace Solid Phase Microextraction (HS-SPME) and Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) were combined to analyze ...

Electrophysiological response of Pentastiridius leporinus (Hemiptera: Cixiidae) to plant volatiles and the ultrastructure of its antennal sensilla

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Entomology
The planthopper Pentastiridius leporinus transmits the phytoplasma 'Candidatus Phytoplasma solani' and the bacterium 'Candidatus Arsenophonus phytopathogenicus' to various agricultural crops and vegetables, mainly in Germany and neighbouring countries ...

Understanding the Anomalies in Exotic Annual Grass Cover in Precipitation Scenario Maps of Rangelands in the Western United States

open access: yesRemote Sensing
In rangeland ecosystems of the western United States, invasion by exotic annual grass (EAG) poses a substantial threat to native biodiversity. Studies have shown that weather, especially precipitation, can greatly influence the rate of invasion and EAG ...
