Functional Characterization of Olfactory Proteins Involved in Chemoreception of Galeruca daurica
Odorant-binding proteins (OBPs) and chemosensory proteins (CSPs) play a fundamental role in insect olfaction. Galeruca daurica (Joannis) is a new pest with outbreak status in the Inner Mongolia grasslands, northern China.

A covalently integrated single‐component photocatalyst is constructed by anchoring selenoviologen to platinum nanoparticles via robust N‐heterocyclic carbene ligands. The resulting Pt─C covalent bonds function dually as protective structural scaffolds and direct channels for ultrafast intramolecular electron transfer This precise interfacial ...

Herbivory‐Induced Stomatal Opening Triggers the Dispersal of an Invasive Insect Herbivore
The invasive leafminer Phthorimaea absoluta uniquely manipulates plant defenses by inducing stomatal opening in tomato. This response, mediated by the stomatal regulator IQM1, enhances the release of the repellent volatile benzaldehyde. This volatile triggers the dispersal of adult moths, facilitates colonization of new hosts, and leads to rapid ...

Acidic CO2 electroreduction to formic acid is enabled by integrating mixed Sn/SnOx nanoclusters, K+‐regulated interfacial solvation, and Janus wettability. Coordinated control of active sites, interfacial water, and gas‐liquid transport suppresses hydrogen evolution and delivers approximately 85% HCOOH Faradaic efficiency at 400 mA cm−2.

Antennal response of Prinobius myardi to synthetic tree volatiles
Prinobius myardi Mulsant is a wood borer implicated in the decline of Mediterranean oaks, especially Quercus suber L. and Quercus ilex L. Plant volatiles play an important role in plant-insect interactions, and electroantennography (EAG) is an effective ...

Induction Coil Heating Improves the Efficiency of Insect Olfactory Studies
Electroantennography (EAG) is a commonly used method to study the olfactory responses of insects, but many behaviorally relevant odorant responses are difficult to evaluate because only a small amount of chemical sample is available in the vapor phase ...
