Strong Variability in AzV 493, an Extreme Oe-type Star in the SMC
We present 18 yr of OGLE photometry together with spectra obtained over 12 yr revealing that the early Oe star AzV 493 shows strong photometric (Δ I < 1.2 mag) and spectroscopic variability with a dominant, 14.6 yr pattern and ∼40 day oscillations.

Spitzer 24 micron Survey of Debris Disks in the Pleiades [PDF]
We performed a 24 micron 2 Deg X 1 Deg survey of the Pleiades cluster, using the MIPS instrument on Spitzer. Fifty four members ranging in spectral type from B8 to K6 show 24 micron fluxes consistent with bare photospheres.

Treatment Decision‐Making Roles and Preferences Among Adolescents and Young Adults With Cancer
ABSTRACT Background Decision‐making (DM) dynamics between adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer, parents, and oncologists remain underexplored in diverse populations. We examined cancer treatment DM preferences among an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse group of AYAs and their parents.

X-ray counterparts to stellar MeerKAT Galactic-plane compact radio sources
Context. Radio emission from magnetically active stars arises primarily from non-thermal processes and provides information complementary to their high-energy X-ray emission.

Overstable convective modes in rotating early-type stars [PDF]
ABSTRACT We calculate overstable convective (OsC) modes of 2-, 4-, and $20\hbox{-}{\rm M}_\odot$ main-sequence stars. To compute non-adiabatic OsC modes in the core, we assume $(\nabla \cdot \rm{\boldsymbol {F}}_{\rm C})^\prime =0$ as a prescription for the approximation called frozen-in convection in pulsating stars, where $\rm ...

ABSTRACT A second allogeneic (allo‐)hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT2) is a potential curative option for pediatric patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) following relapse after first allogeneic transplantation (HSCT1), but its efficacy is limited by high relapse rates and transplant‐related toxicity in highly pretreated ...

ABSTRACT Secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) is a common complication in patients receiving maintenance dialysis, driven by calcium and phosphate metabolism disturbances. Calcimimetics are central to the management of SHPT by enhancing calcium‐sensing receptor sensitivity and reducing parathyroid hormone secretion.

Detection of Two Totally Eclipsing B-type Binaries with Extremely Low Mass Ratios
The detection of O- and B-type stars with extremely low-mass companions is very important for understanding the formation and evolution of binary stars. However, finding them remains a challenge because the low-mass components in such systems contribute ...

Ongoing studies of different groups of stars result in improving our knowledge of their fundamental parameters and evolutionary status. Also, they result in finding new phases of stellar evolution, which require theoretical explanation. At the same time,
