Modular, Textile‐Based Soft Robotic Grippers for Agricultural Produce Handling

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article introduces textile‐based pneumatic grippers that transform simple textiles into robust bending actuators. Detailed experiments uncover how cut geometry and fabric selection shape performance. Successful handling of fragile agricultural items showcases the potential of textile robotics for safe, scalable automation in food processing and ...

Human agricultural activities influence the flowering time of turnip in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

open access: yesPlant Diversity
Tibetan turnip and oilseeds are the most important vegetables cultivated in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Our field observations identified a dominant early-bolting phenotype at the vegetative growth stage in the Tibetan turnip, which was possibly due to ...

Early bolting phenotypes observed in the T1 and T2 transgenic plants.

open access: yes, 2019
(A) Early bolting phenotype in some T1 transgenic plants. Transgenic plants were selected on antibiotic-containing 1/2 MS plates, and ~5-day-old transgenic seedlings were transferred into soil pots and grown in a growth room.

Ion Superhighways in a Hierarchical Polymer‐Ceramic Membrane Enable Rapid and Selective Lithium Extraction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible PDMS‐LATP polymer‐ceramic membrane creates lithium‐ion “superhighways” for rapid and selective extraction from complex brines. The amorphous PDMS matrix suppresses nonselective leakage and stabilizes the ceramic network, while LATP provides preferential Li+ conduction.

Full-length transcriptome and RNA-Seq analyses offer new insights into the mechanisms underlying early bolting in Peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn (Apiaceae)

open access: yesIndustrial Crops and Products
Peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn, known as “Qianhu”, is a perennial herb with high value in traditional Chinese medicine. However, early bolting during cultivation significantly reduces both quality and yield, posing major challenges for its agricultural and

Agent‐Based Simulations of Lung Tumor Evolution Suggest That Ongoing Cell Competition Drives Realistic Clonal Expansions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Computational simulations of tumor evolution are increasingly used to infer the rules underlying cancer growth, with the goal of one day recommending tailored treatments. Here we show that the properties of lung cancer sequencing data are best replicated by a model which assumes that cells compete both to proliferate and survive. ABSTRACT Computational
