Precision teaching and fluency: the effects of charting and goal-setting on skaters’ performance

open access: yes, 2010
This research involved three successive studies where precision teaching methods were used to increase roller skaters performance rates of basic skating skills. The first study compared precision teaching methods both with and without the use of charting

Flexible Pressure Sensor With Co‐Optimized Sensitivity and Linearity Based on Gradient Toroidal Microstructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A flexible piezoresistive pressure sensor with gradient toroidal CNT/PDMS microstructures is reported. The hierarchical geometry enables sequential electrode contact, achieving a sensitivity of 256.20 kPa−1 and linear response (R2 = 0.99) over 0–1000 kPa.

Goal-directed or goal-misdirected - how should we interpret the literature?

open access: yes, 2010
Goal-directed therapy (GDT) can be a vague term, meaning different things to different people and, depending on the clinical environment, sometimes even different things to the same person.

A randomized controlled trial on goal-directed therapy of hepatorenal syndrome (Early goal-directed volume resuscitation in hepatorenal syndrome (RACEHORSE))

open access: yes, 2020

Perivascular Matrix Densification Dysregulates Angiogenesis and Activates Pro‐Inflammatory Endothelial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...
