Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

High-Precision Imaging and Dense Vehicle Target Detection Method for Airborne Single-Pass Circular Synthetic Aperture Radar

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Circular synthetic aperture radar (CSAR) has advantages of the omnidirectional detection and high-resolution imaging. However, when CSAR detects the dense target in the observation scene, the phenomena such as the layover effect in the CSAR image may ...

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Island Cities and Disaster Risk: A Study of San Juan’s Hurricane Early Warning System

open access: yesIsland Studies Journal, 2023
Early warning systems offer a common framework for national, state, and local actors to prepare for, respond to, and understand disaster risk. Existing scholarship mostly examines early warning systems at an aggregate level for small islands, without ...

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Moving Target Shadow Detection Method Based on Improved ViBe in VideoSAR Images

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
The video synthetic aperture radar (VideoSAR) has the high frame-rate imaging capability, which can perform the ground moving target detection. The moving target often leaves the shadow in the sequence of the VideoSAR images, which can indirectly detect ...

Gender equity in disaster early warning systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Capacities of societies, communities and individuals or a social-ecological system to deal with adverse consequences and the impacts of hazard events define the resilience.

Behavior of early warnings near the critical temperature in the two-dimensional Ising model

open access: yes, 2015
Among the properties that are common to complex systems, the presence of critical thresholds in the dynamics of the system is one of the most important.

Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.
