Relationships Among Maternal Epstein–Barr Virus Antibodies, COVID‐19, and Stress in Mothers up to 1‐Year Postpartum

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Human Biology, Volume 38, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Both psychosocial stress and current infection can increase the likelihood of reactivation of latent Epstein–Barr virus (EBV). The Prognostic Value of Serum Inflammatory Markers in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Patients Treated With Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors: A Multicenter Study

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Although immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), reliable predictive biomarkers need to be further explored. This study aimed to investigate the predictive ability of inflammatory markers for poor prognosis in NPC patients treated with ICIs. Methods In this multicenter

Tracheal Extramedullary Plasmacytoma Causing Near‐Complete Airway Obstruction in an HIV‐Positive Man: A Case Report and Brief Literature Review

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT A 53‐year‐old HIV‐positive man presented with progressive dyspnea, hoarseness, and near‐complete tracheal obstruction. Computed tomography and rigid bronchoscopy identified a > 90% obstructing tracheal mass. Histopathology with immunohistochemistry confirmed extramedullary plasmacytoma.
