We isolated a pathogenic Xanthomonas strain from common ragweed. In this study, we explore its bioherbicide potential, host‐specificity, and the virulence determinants encoded in its genome. Abstract Common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia) is one of the leading causes of allergenic rhinitis, as well as a major weed of many crops.
