Emotional Context Modulates the Response to Somatosensory Stimuli Within 20 milliseconds
Somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs) show different amplitudes to identical haptic stimuli within the first 20 ms from stimulus onset depending on the affective load of the visual (3D) context. Affected SEP components, P17 and N20, originate in thalamic and primary cortical stations of the somatosensory ascending route, respectively.
