Correlated Charge Transport in an Organic Coulomb Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Advances in the development of organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs), electrically gated organic semiconductors (EGOFETs), and organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) allow for the operation of these devices at very high charge‐carrier densities, where Coulomb interactions between carriers can be expected to become significant.

The Effect of Drainage Radius Interference on the Design of Infill Well in FA Field

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Innovation in Science and Engineering
In mature fields like FA Field, addressing production decline involves strategic infill well drilling to boost output from active structures. The location and number of infill wells are determined through bubble map analysis during development planning.

Elephant‐Skin‐Inspired Porous Cementitious Tiles with Programmable Crack Networks for Passive Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.

Permeability enhancement of deep hole pre-splitting blasting in the low permeability coal seam of the Nanting coal mine. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
To solve the hidden danger of high methane and low permeability gas in the coal mining process, potentially affecting the safety production in an orderly way, we propose the use of deep hole blasting technology to improve the permeability of the coal ...

Conductive Hydrogels for Exogenous Sensing and Cell Fate Control

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We engineer electrically conductive hydrogels by combining sulfated glycosaminoglycans with semiconducting polymers. These hydrogels bind bioactive proteins, including growth factors, whose release or retention can be modulated by low‐voltage stimulation. The hydrogels are also integrated as 3D channels in organic electrochemical transistors as part of

Energy Band Alignment and Electro‐Optical Behavior of Nearly Unstrained Monolayer MoS2 Heterostructures With GaN

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Large size (∼100 µm) monolayer MoS2 grown by LPI‐CVD on n‐GaN exhibit a high n‐type doping, very low strain, and a type‐I band alignment at MoS2/GaN interface. Photocurrent measurements under illumination with photon energies from ∼2 to ∼5 eV show superior electro‐optical performances of these MoS2/n‐GaN heterojunctions as compared to Ni/n‐GaN devices ...

Surface‐Ligand‐Dependent Excited‐State Dynamics in Aqueous CuInSe2/ZnS Quantum Dot–Chlorophyll Assemblies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
CuInSe2/ZnS quantum dots are synthesized in water and coupled with chlorophyll to probe ligand‐controlled excited‐state interactions. Broad visible–NIR emission and high PLQY are observed. Time‐resolved measurements reveal shortened chlorophyll lifetimes, indicating dynamic quenching via Förster energy and/or charge transfer, highlighting surface ...
