Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

A Novel Approach for Warhead Fragments Velocity Measurement Based on Laser Screen

open access: yesJournal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation, 2011
The velocity of warhead fragment is key criteria to determine its mutilation efficiency. We have designed an optoelectronic system to accurately measure the average velocity of warhead fragments. The apparatus including two parallel laser screens spaced ...

OSTEOCHONDRITIS DISSECANS OF THE HIP IN LEGG-CALVÉ-PERTHES DISEASE: CASE REPORT AND REVIEW

open access: yesActa Ortopédica Brasileira
Introduction: Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease (LCPD) is the idiopathic osteonecrosis of the capital femoral epiphysis in children. It is a self-healing condition, and the morphology of the hip may vary according to the severity of the disease, among several ...

Nucleon Flow and Fragment Flow in Heavy Ion Reactions

open access: yes, 1993
The collective flow of nucleons and that of fragments in the 12C + 12C reaction below 150 MeV/nucleon are calculated with the antisymmetrized version of molecular dynamics combined with the statistical decay calculation.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Characteristics of successful expansion of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes from colorectal cancer liver metastasis

open access: yesScientific Reports
Adoptive cell therapy (ACT) utilizing tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) has emerged as a successful treatment modality for various malignancies. However, TILs cultured from colorectal cancer (CRC) liver metastasis remain underexplored.

Isospin in Reaction Dynamics. The Case of Dissipative Collisions at Fermi Energies

open access: yes, 2005
A key question in the physics of unstable nuclei is the knowledge of the $EOS$ for asymmetric nuclear matter ($ANM$) away from normal conditions. We recall that the symmetry energy at low densities has important effects on the neutron skin structure ...

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.
