Efficient Calibration of a Laser Dynamic Deflectometer
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2013The bearing capacity of the road pavement is one of the most important indices that reflect the road condition. To collect such data, various deflectometers were developed in the past three decades. Note that the newly developed Traffic-Speed Deflectometer (TSD) declares to perform a nondestructive measuring at traffic speeds.

Calibration Scenario Editor Enables Higher Calibration Efficiencies
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2008<div class="htmlview paragraph">Today's powertrain control systems are not only quite complex, but often powertrain calibration engineers must effectively deal with many conflicting design goals. This calibration process typically involves resolving many differing calibration trade-offs as well as multiple time-consuming iterations comparing ...

Efficient Pricing and Reliable Calibration in the Heston Model
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2012We suggest a general scheme for improvement of FT-pricing formulas for European options and give efficient recommendations for the choice of the parameters of the numerical scheme, which allow for very accurate and fast calculations. The efficiency of the method stems from the properties of functions analytical in a strip, which were introduced to ...

Efficient multi-task feature learning with calibration
Proceedings of the 20th ACM SIGKDD international conference on Knowledge discovery and data mining, 2014Multi-task feature learning has been proposed to improve the generalization performance by learning the shared features among multiple related tasks and it has been successfully applied to many real-world problems in machine learning, data mining, computer vision and bioinformatics.

An Efficient Approach for the Calibration of Multiple PTZ Cameras
IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, 2007In this paper, we propose an efficient approach to infer the relative positioning and orientation among multiple pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras. In this approach, the tilt angle and altitude of each PTZ camera are estimated first based on the observation of some simple objects lying on a horizontal plane.

Time- and space-efficient eye tracker calibration
Proceedings of the 11th ACM Symposium on Eye Tracking Research & Applications, 2019One of the obstacles to bring eye tracking technology to everyday human computer interactions is the time consuming calibration procedure. In this paper we investigate a novel calibration method based on smooth pursuit eye movement. The method uses linear regression to calculate the calibration mapping.

Efficiency calibration in the program ANA
Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 1997A new algorithm for calculating efficiency calibration has been implemented. It is based on orthonormal polynomial approximation and is capable of dealing with polynomials of degree up to 12 and to handle up to 20 experimental points. Additional utilities have been provided to control the calibration procedure including restriction of the maximal ...

An Easy-to-Interface CDC With an Efficient Automatic Calibration
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2016A new capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC) that gives a digital output proportional to the measurand $kx$ , independent of its nominal capacitance, is reported in this paper. Various CDCs are available in the market, but their output is a function of the nominal value $C_{0}$ of the sensor.

Developing 152Eu into a standard for detector efficiency calibration
Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2004A gamma-gamma coincidence experiment was performed to check the 152Eu 13-year decay scheme and the placement of the observed gamma-ray transitions. The multi-detector array for residual activity measurement of the Linear Accelerator Laboratory was used. The source activity was 1 MBq, and about 10(9) coincidence events were observed.
