Energy efficiency optimization with energy harvesting using harvest-use approach [PDF]
Energy harvesting is emerging as a promising approach to improve the energy efficiency (EE) and to extend the life of wireless networks. This paper focuses on energy-efficient transmission power allocation techniques for a point-to-point communication channel, equipped with a fixed-power battery, as well as a harvest-use battery.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Charge photogeneration in few-layer MoS2
The two-dimensional semiconductor MoS2 in its mono- and few-layer form is expected to have a significant exciton binding energy of several 100 meV, leading to the consensus that excitons are the primary photoexcited species.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
