Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Envy in Othello. Can effort explain such a tragic issue? [PDF]
We aim at disentangling the impact of effort on social emotions and more particularly on envy. Thus we observe the impact of effort on individual well-being and behaviour.

Opportunities for cost-sharing in conservation: variation in volunteering effort across protected areas [PDF]
Efforts to expand protected area networks are limited by the costs of managing protected sites. Volunteers who donate labor to help manage protected areas can help defray these costs.

Pupil size variations correlate with physical effort perception
It has long been established that the pupil diameter increases during mental activities in proportion to the difficulty of the task at hand. However, it is still unclear whether this relationship between the pupil size and effort applies also to physical

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Exercises of the short-foot as a method of pes planus treatment
The basic functions of the foot are: shock absorption, taking over the body weight, which determines the correct locomotion. Physiologically, the body weight is based mainly on three points of support: the first and fifth metatarsals bone and in the ...

Dynamic or effortful touch is a subsystem of the haptic perceptual system (Gibson 1966). It is the most common form of touch, hardly noticed as such, and rarely studied (until recently).

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Tax Progression under Collective Wage Bargaining and Individual Effort Determination [PDF]
We study the impact of tax policy on wage negotiations, workers’ effort, employment, output and welfare when workers’ effort is only imperfectly observable.
