Rates of Evolution Differ Between Cell Types Identified by Single‐Cell RNAseq in Threespine Stickleback

open access: yesMolecular Ecology, Volume 35, Issue 19, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Rates of evolutionary change vary by gene. While some broad gene categories are highly conserved with little divergence over time, others undergo continuous selection pressure and are highly divergent among populations or species. But such comparative evolutionary studies rely on gene ontology categories that are rarely validated in the study ...

Validation and reliability of the Italian versions of the Food Allergy Quality of Life ‐Parental Burden (FAQL‐PB) and ‐Parent Form 10 (FAQLQ‐PF10) Questionnaires

open access: yesPediatric Allergy and Immunology, Volume 37, Issue 10, October 2026.
The Italian versions of the FAQLQ‐PF10 and FAQL‐PB demonstrated excellent reliability, validity, and disease specificity in assessing food allergy‐related quality of life. Their use may facilitate routine assessment of the burden of pediatric food allergy and support more patient‐centered management.

Unveiling the Diagnostic Value and Potential Therapeutic Targets of Phenylalanine Metabolism in Pancreatic Cancer via Integrated Multi‐Omics and Machine Learning

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 18, 30 September 2026.
MR identified phenylalanine as a causal PC risk factor (OR 1.18). A 5‐gene RF model (AUC 0.955) highlighted SLC6A14 as the top biomarker. Single‐cell analysis revealed epithelial–immune crosstalk. Molecular docking identified genistein (−9.1 kcal/mol) as a lead SLC6A14‐targeting compound.

Current Understanding of Egg Allergy

open access: yesPediatric Clinics of North America, 2011
Egg is one of the most important allergens in childhood feeding, and egg allergy can pose quality-of-life concerns. A clear clinical history and the detection of egg white-specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) will confirm the diagnosis of IgE-mediated ...
