EFFECT OF DIPPING EGGS IN DIFFERENT CONCENTRATION OF ACETIC ACID ON THE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL QUALITATIVE TRAITS OF EGGS [PDF]
This study evaluated the effects of treating eggs with varying concentrations of acetic acid (0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%) on internal and external egg quality traits. A total of 40 fresh chicken eggs were divided equally among the four treatment groups.

In the pathological state of PD induced by MPP+, the upregulated PRMT9 in dopaminergic neurons translocates into mitochondrion and interacts with DUSP26 and catalyzes its arginine methylation, leading to the ubiquitin‐proteasomal degradation of DUSP26 mediated by Trim32.

U.S. Consumer Preferences for Cage‐Free Eggs and Hen Housing Policies
ABSTRACT Farm animal welfare (FAW) continues to be a divisive issue in the egg industry. In the United States, 10 states and most major retailers have implemented policies or voluntary pledges to transition to 100% cage‐free egg sales. We use best‐worst scaling and discrete choice experiments to evaluate U.S.

ABSTRACT This study investigates how consumer taste and brand equity perceptions shape the acceptance of plant‐based milk products. Using a blind/informed tasting experiment, we evaluated consumers' willingness to buy (WTB) and taste perception of a plant‐based milk alternative produced by a traditional dairy brand, compared with competing plant‐based ...

Relevance of genomic evaluation for egg quality traits in layers [PDF]
Abstract Background Genomic evaluation, based on thousands of genetic markers, has become the standard evaluation methodology in dairy cattle breeding programs over the past few years. Despite the many differences between dairy cattle breeding and poultry breeding, genomic selection seems very ...

This article investigates how persistent homology, persistent Laplacians, and persistent commutative algebra reveal complementary geometric, topological, and algebraic invariants or signatures of real‐world data. By analyzing shapes, synthetic complexes, fullerenes, and biomolecules, the article shows how these mathematical frameworks enhance ...

Repeatability of Egg Quality Traits in the Coturnix Quail
Abstract Padgott and Ivey (1959), Wilson et al. (1961) and Howes and Ivey (1961) discussed and evaluated the Japanese quail, Coturnix coturnix japonica, as a pilot animal for research. Jaap (1964) indicated that the Coturnix, due to its tremendous reproductive potential, may take the place of the chicken for research in poultry genetics.

We applied Mendelian randomization to explore causal links between blood cell traits and skeletal disorders. Using genetic instruments from large‐scale summary statistics, we assessed effects on bone continuity, density, and structural integrity. Sensitivity and reverse analyses confirmed robust associations, highlighting potential shared biological ...

Abstract A recent debate has emerged between Caspar et al. (2024) and Herculano‐Houzel (2023) on inferring extinct dinosaur cognition by estimating brain neuron counts. While thought‐provoking, the discussion largely overlooks the function of cognition, as well as partly neglects the difficulties involved in estimating neuron numbers, which according ...
