The Solids Content of Egg White

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1933
Abstract THE white of a fresh egg is separated into several well defined layers. The layer adjacent to the shell is quite fluid or watery. Just inside this layer is another which is markedly different in that it has a comparatively firm structure and a certain resilency.

Supramolecular Probe for Monitoring Lysosomal Ferritinophagy to Facilitate the Early Diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
A supramolecular fluorescent probe, TPE‐4B/4Q[7], was designed to target lysosomes. The restriction of intramolecular rotation effect mediated by Q[7] enhances the fluorescence of TPE‐4B/4Q[7], enabling selective detection of Fe3+ with a detection limit of 1.23 × 10⁻⁶ M.

Decoding Tattoo and Permanent Makeup Pigments: Linking Physicochemical Properties to Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Elimination Profiles Using Quantitative Structure–Activity Relationship (QSAR)‐Based New Approach Methodologies (NAMs)

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study applies QSAR‐based new approach methodologies to 90 synthetic tattoo and permanent makeup pigments, revealing systemic links between their physicochemical properties and absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination profiles. The correlation‐driven analysis using SwissADME, ChemBCPP, and principal component analysis uncovers insights

Floral shape and color impact heat accumulation and thermal stability of the floral microenvironment in a subalpine meadow

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise The floral thermal microenvironment impacts plant reproduction through its effects on gametophyte performance and plant–pollinator interactions. Color and shape are axes of floral variation that may mediate floral temperature because they affect the absorption and reflection of solar radiation, but their interactive effects are unclear.

The Insistence of Blackness and the Persistence of Antiblackness in Ireland

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper positions Ireland as a critical site for examining the insistence of blackness and an antiblackness created and sustained through Irish ethnonationalist imaginaries and exclusionary processes. Drawing on connected sociologies and Irish Black Studies, this enquiry argues that antiblackness in Ireland operates as a generational force,

Biodegradable Sodium Alginate Films Incorporated With Microcapsules of Amazonian Buriti Fruit Oil (Mauritia flexuosa L.)

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pollution caused by plastic polymers is a growing concern as it compromises biodiversity and human health. As a sustainable solution, developing biodegradable films, such as sodium alginate, is promising due to its low vapor permeability, flexibility, gloss, and cost‐effectiveness.
