Abstract Fresh egg white contained about 0.02% lipids, and 13–15% phospholipids for the lipids. They were made up of triglyceride, diglyceride, free fatty acid, cholesterol ester and cholesterol in acetone-soluble materials, and phosphatidylcholine (PC), lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), sphingomyelin (SPM) and unknown ...

Thermal Plasticity is Regulated by a Key MicroRNA During Range Expansion of an Invasive Fruit Fly
Populations at the invasion front of Bactrocera dorsalis adapt through reduced phenotypic and gene expression plasticity, a phenomenon likely to be driven by genetic assimilation. We identify a key miRNA‐mediated regulatory axis, in which miR‐276b post‐transcriptionally represses thw, a conserved chitin‐binding gene critical to the cold‐tolerance ...

This study elucidates a novel mechanistic role of the deubiquitinase OTUD6A in asthma pathogenesis, uncovering its regulatory function in airway inflammation and airway remodeling through the stabilization of hResistin/mRELMα. This study offers a novel regulatory axis (OTUD6A‐hResistin/mRELMα) in asthma pathogenesis and OTUD6A inhibition as a potential

Is it possible to make a diagnosis of raw, heated and baked egg allergy in children using cut-offs? A systematic review [PDF]
The diagnosis of IgE-mediated egg allergy lies both on a compatible clinical history and on the results of skin prick tests (SPTs) and IgEs levels. Both tests have good sensitivity but low specificity.

We identify a Lepidoptera‐conserved testis‐specific arylalkylamine N‐acetyltransferase (LTNAT) that governs male moth fertility via a novel mechanism. LTNAT loss disrupts eupyrene sperm mitochondrial derivatives and impairs apyrene sperm motility, offering a safe molecular target for innovative pesticides and genetic pest control.

Substituent‐Based Modulation of Self‐Assembly and Immunogenicity of Amphipathic Peptides
This study systematically investigates how positional and subtle changes, such as substituents on the phenyl ring attached to short amphipathic peptides, influence their self‐assembly, fibril morphology, and immunogenic responses. ABSTRACT Self‐assembled peptide‐based biomaterials provide versatile platforms for biomedical uses, featuring customizable ...

Developing methods for testing the resistance of white cabbage against Thrips tabaci [PDF]
Since the damage of the onion thrips (Thrips tabaci Lindemann) first occurred on white cabbage in Hungary several observations have been carried out, both in Hungary and abroad, to assess varietal resistance.

This study shows that amyloid fibrils form nematic condensates via liquid–liquid crystalline phase separation (LLCPS). With increasing pH, this transition shifts toward disordered condensates formed through liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS), in which birefringence with lack of a coherent nematic field symmetry originates from enthalpic fibril ...
