Large-Slenderness-Ratio Supersonic Aircraft Lateral–Directional Coupling Dynamics Analysis and Control

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2022
Large-slenderness-ratio aircraft in which a large portion of the aircraft’s mass is concentrated along its centreline face the problem of severe lateral-directional coupling.

Research on Lateral Vibration and Load Sensitivity Reductions for Large-Scale Complex Nonconservative Systems Using Rigid-Flex Coupling Simulation Technique

open access: yesShock and Vibration
For large-scale complex nonconservative systems such as high-speed rolling stock, the rigid-flex coupling simulation technique is one of the effective methods in reducing lateral vibration and dynamic load sensitivity.

Partial Eigenstructure Assignment for Linear Time-Invariant Systems via Dynamic Compensator

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
This article studies the partial eigenstructure assignment (PEA) problem for a type of linear time-invariant (LTI) system. By introducing a dynamic output feedback controller, the closed-loop system is similar to a given arbitrary constant matrix, so the

Linear Matrix Inequality Approach to Designing Damping and Tracking Control for Nanopositioning Application

open access: yesVibration, 2022
This paper presents a method to extend the eigenstructure assignment based design of the Positive Position Feedback (PPF) damping controller to the family of well-known second-order Positive Feedback Controllers (PFC) namely: (i) the Positive Velocity ...

A parametric approach of partial eigenstructure assignment for high-order linear systems via proportional plus derivative state feedback

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2021
In this paper, a partial eigenstructure assignment problem for the high-order linear time-invariant (LTI) systems via proportional plus derivative (PD) state feedback is considered.

Vibration control for the solar panels of spacecraft: Innovation methods and potential approaches

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, Volume 3, Issue 4, Page 300-330, December 2023., 2023
Abstract Solar panels on spacecraft are typical kinds of flexible structures. Low‐frequency and large‐amplitude vibrations usually occur due to the inevitable disturbances of deployment impact, attitude/orbit maneuver, separation/docking impact, and so forth.

Direction finding by sparse‐based approach for dual‐polarised conformal array in the presence of gain and phase uncertainties

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 17, Issue 6, Page 1040-1049, June 2023., 2023
We investigate the problem of robust direction‐of‐arrival (DOA) estimation with unknown antenna gain and phase uncertainties for the dual‐polarised conformal array. Some techniques including weight sharing, grid pruning, and suppressing the equivalent noise have been adopted to significantly alleviate the negative effects of uncertainties and enhance ...

Feedback stabilization of switched linear systems via a parametric approach

open access: yesIET Control Theory &Applications, Volume 17, Issue 6, Page 683-695, April 2023., 2023
Two multiple matrix equation problems completely solved in parametric forms. Feedback stabilizaiton for certain linear switched systems under arbitrary switching is realized. Abstract This paper solves two matrix equations problems completely which are originated from the problems of state feedback stabilization of first‐order and second‐order switched

Diagonal dominance via eigenstructure assignment [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Control, 2006
This paper presents a new methodology for diagonal dominance of large-scale systems via eigenstructure assignment. For a given large-scale system in general form, an equivalent descriptor system in the input–output decentralized form is defined. Sufficient conditions for diagonal dominance of the closed-loop system are introduced.
