Advanced Experiment Design Strategies for Drug Development
Wang et al. analyze 592 drug development studies published between 2020 and 2024 that applied design of experiments methodologies. The review surveys both classical and emerging approaches—including Bayesian optimization and active learning—and identifies a critical gap between advanced experimental strategies and their practical adoption in ...

Axiom System and Completeness Expression for Quantum Mechanics [PDF]
The standard axiomatization of quantum mechanics (QM) is not fully explicit about the role of the time-parameter. Especially, the time reference within the probability algorithm (the Born Rule, BR) is unclear.

A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...

Dynamic Models of Appraisal Networks Explaining Collective Learning
This paper proposes models of learning process in teams of individuals who collectively execute a sequence of tasks and whose actions are determined by individual skill levels and networks of interpersonal appraisals and influence.

Signature of the Simplicial Supermetric [PDF]
We investigate the signature of the Lund-Regge metric on spaces of simplicial three-geometries which are important in some formulations of quantum gravity. Tetrahedra can be joined together to make a three-dimensional piecewise linear manifold.

A sufficient condition for the stability of arbitrary switching linear systems (SLSs) without control inputs is that the individual subsystems are stable and their evolution matrices are simultaneously triangularizable (ST). This sufficient condition for

This article investigates how persistent homology, persistent Laplacians, and persistent commutative algebra reveal complementary geometric, topological, and algebraic invariants or signatures of real‐world data. By analyzing shapes, synthetic complexes, fullerenes, and biomolecules, the article shows how these mathematical frameworks enhance ...

Infinite eigenvalue assignment for singular systems
The infinite eigenvalue assignment problem for singular systems described by \[ E\dot x= Ax+ Bu,\quad E, A\in\mathbb{R}^{n\times n},\quad B\in\mathbb{R}^{n\times m},\quad \text{det }E= 0\tag{1} \] is studied. Necessary and sufficient conditions are established for the existence of a state feedback for (1) such that the closed-loop system is regular and

The authors develop a deep learning model for real‐time tracking of wound progression. The deep learning framework maps the nonlinear evolution of a time series of images to a latent space, where they learn a linear representation of the dynamics. The linear model is interpretable and suitable for applications in feedback control.

A multiple-choice knapsack based algorithm for CDMA downlink rate differentiation under uplink coverage restrictions [PDF]
This paper presents an analytical model for downlink rate allocation in Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) mobile networks. By discretizing the coverage area into small segments, the transmit power requirements are characterized via a matrix ...
