A Generalization of a Formula of Eisenstein
Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society, 1991A classical formula of Eisenstein generates elliptic units by evaluating elliptic functions at torsion points of \(y^ 2=x^ 3+1/4\). A generalization to genus two is derived by evaluating Abelian functions at intersections of divisors on the Jacobian of the curve \(y^ 2=x^ 5+1/4\).
