From media evolution to the Anthropocene: Unpacking sociotechnical autopoiesis
Abstract The Anthropocene, a term encapsulating humanity's significant impact on Earth's geology, is analysed from a media and socio‐evolutionary lens. The exploration investigates the correlation between human socio‐evolution, media, technology, and the inception and progression of the Anthropocene era.

Observing the Environment of Technology
ABSTRACT This paper explores the conceptualisation of technology as an autopoietic system, addressing the limitations of instrumentalist, deterministic and human‐centred perspectives in understanding the relationship between technology and society. By framing technology as a self‐referential, operationally closed system, the analysis highlights its ...

Moments of symmetric square L$L$‐functions on GL(3)${\rm GL}(3)$
Abstract We give an asymptotic formula with power saving error term for the twisted first moment of symmetric square L$L$‐functions on GL(3)${\rm GL}(3)$ in the level aspect. As applications, we obtain nonvanishing results as well as lower bounds of the expected order of magnitude for all even moments, supporting the random matrix model for a unitary ...

Wormholes and spectral statistics in the Narain ensemble
We study the spectral statistics of primary operators in the recently formulated ensemble average of Narain’s family of free boson conformal field theories, which provides an explicit (though exotic) example of an averaged holographic duality.

The Kronecker limit formulas via the distribution relation [PDF]
In this paper, we give a proof of the classical Kronecker limit formulas using the distribution relation of the Eisenstein-Kronecker series. Using a similar idea, we then prove $p$-adic analogues of the Kronecker limit formulas for the $p$-adic ...

Non-holomorphic modular forms from zeta generators
We study non-holomorphic modular forms built from iterated integrals of holomorphic modular forms for SL(2, ℤ) known as equivariant iterated Eisenstein integrals.

Modular invariance in superstring theory from N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 super-Yang-Mills
We study the four-point function of the lowest-lying half-BPS operators in the N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 SU(N) super-Yang-Mills theory and its relation to the flat-space four-graviton amplitude in type IIB superstring theory. We work in a large-N expansion

Eisenstein Series and Automorphic Representations [PDF]
We provide an introduction to the theory of Eisenstein series and automorphic forms on real simple Lie groups G, emphasising the role of representation theory. It is useful to take a slightly wider view and define all objects over the (rational) adeles A, thereby also paving the way for connections to number theory, representation theory and the ...

In this study, the water extract of Cynanchum auriculatum Royle ex Wight root (CW) was prepared and its chemical composition was characterized using UPLC‐Q‐TOF‐MS. CW significantly alleviated DSS‐induced colitis in mice, as demonstrated by increased colon length, reduced disease activity index scores, and decreased histological damage in colon tissues.

Virasoro blocks and quasimodular forms
We analyse Virasoro blocks in the regime of heavy intermediate exchange (h p → ∞). For the 1-point block on the torus and the 4-point block on the sphere, we show that each order in the large-h p expansion can be written in closed form as polynomials in ...
