Interlaminate Deformation in Thermoplastic Composite Laminates: Experimental-Numerical Correlation
The interlaminar deformation behaviors of thermoplastic AS4/PEEK composite laminates subjected to static tensile loading are investigated by means of microscopic moiré interferometry with high spatial resolution. The fully threedimensional orthotropic

ABSTRACT Objective Epilepsy is increasingly associated with immune dysregulation and inflammation. The T cell receptor (TCR), a key mediator of adaptive immunity, shows repertoire alterations in various immune‐mediated diseases. The unique TCR sequence serves as a molecular barcode for T cells, and clonal expansion accompanied by reduced overall TCR ...

Objective Ultrasound (US) has been proposed as a potential tool for assessing skin fibrosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc). However, a large‐scale comparison of US‐based assessment with histological markers of skin fibrosis has not been reported. We evaluated the US‐based skin assessments for their face validity (differentiation between involved SSc and ...

B\'ezier curves that are close to elastica
We study the problem of identifying those cubic B\'ezier curves that are close in the L2 norm to planar elastic curves. The problem arises in design situations where the manufacturing process produces elastic curves; these are difficult to work with in a

The Immobilization of Hyaluronic Acid in 3D Hydrogel Scaffolds Modulates Macrophage Polarization
This study explores the use of collagen‐hyaluronic acid (HA) hydrogels for the 3D culture of macrophages, providing a useful tool for modelling macrophage behavior in tissues and diseases. It highlights how hydrogel composition, mechanical properties, and preparation methods influence macrophage behavior, revealing for the first time that HA's ...

Exploring the Nonlinear Viscoelasticity of a High Viscosity Silicone Oil with Laos
Measurements and modeling of the nonlinear viscoelastic properties of a high viscosity silicone oil (polydimethylsiloxane, PDMS) are reported. LAOS test were performed with a high precision rotational rheometer to probe the nonlinear response.

The unrolling of the peltate leaves in Syngonium podophyllum is analyzed and quantified (left‐hand side to center). These measurements serve to verify a mathematical model for leaf unrolling based on the model used in Schmidt (2007). An additional formula for obtaining a layer mismatch from a prescribed radius is derived.
