Design Optimization of Electric Centrifugal Pump by Multiple Surrogate Models

Abstract In this paper, an effort has been made to maximize the efficiency of ESP by using surrogate models for optimization. Inlet and outlet blade angles are selected as design variables. Initially, a pump stage simulation is performed using Navier Stokes solver which include rotating impeller and stationary diffuser.

New technology of electric centrifugal pump operation in deviated wells

A flexible coupling designed to ensure physical flexibility of electric centrifugal pumping units, which makes it possible to run-in (lower) and operate the unit at an angle of up to 5° between the shafts, has been developed, made, and tested. It has been established that the flexible coupling reduces vibration and increases delivery.

This work is dedicated to the study of well acidizing technology using electric submersible centrifugal pumps (ESCP) at field X, with a focus on addressing the issue of salt deposits. Salt deposits that form during well operation significantly affect well performance, impairing reservoir permeability and reducing hydrocarbon production efficiency.
