Electric field distribution of human breast tissue

2010 Annual Report Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectic Phenomena, 2010
Breast cancer is the one of the most leading diseases and cause of death in the world. 21% of females diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 did not survive. Hence, cancer therapy requires a new and novel approach to treat them. Over the last two decades, electroporation, which is the process by which external electrical pulses are applied to facilitate ...

Field ionization distribution curves and the local electric field

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 1992
Ionization probabilities of imaging gas molecules under field ion microscope conditions are calculated and compared with previous calculated and experimental results. It is shown that it is necessary to include the possibility of ionization before reaching the region close to the sample in the calculation of the curves rather than just considering the ...

Electric field distribution of electron emitter surfaces

Applied Physics Letters, 1987
The electric field distribution of a tungsten field emitter surface and a LaB6 thermionic emitter surface has been studied. The computer simulation of electric field distribution on the emitter surface was carried out with a charge simulation method.

Magnetic and electric fields of rotating charge distributions

American Journal of Physics, 1982
A charge distribution with axial symmetry is allowed to rotate with constant angular velocity around the axis of symmetry. The magnetic field of the resultant current density is calculated in terms of the electrostatic field of the charge distribution.

Metal waveguides with uniform electric field distributions

2008 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2008
This paper first addresses the behavior of a rectangular waveguide centrally loaded with a dielectric product. In order to have the product be exposed to uniformly distributed microwave energy, a TEM waveguide is introduced. But because the TEM waveguide is expensive, adds weight and is usually impractical for these applications, new methods are ...

Electric field distribution in chromium compensated GaAs

12th International Conference on Semiconducting and Insulating Materials, 2002. SIMC-XII-2002., 2004
Unlike conventional GaAs detector structures that use a space charge region (SCR) of a barrier structure, we propose to form a detector structure of resistor type on the base of GaAs compensated with Cr. In this case, the electric field distribution, /spl xi/(x), is not screened by the ion concentration in the SCR but it is defined only by the ...

Electric field distribution in an electroluminescent cell

Journal of Applied Spectroscopy, 1966
The theory of linear parameter distribution is discussed in relation to calculation of the intensity for an electroluminescent cell (EC). It is found that some of the formulas are applicable to the practical ranges of EC because the spatial region where nonlinear processes occur in strong fields is of restricted extent.

Electric field distribution in Si(Li) detectors

Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1970
Abstract The new study of the shape of pulses generated by α-particles in Si(Li) detectors bring a further confirmation of the parabolic distribution of the electric field in these detectors.

Electric Field Distribution in a Dense Plasma

The Physics of Fluids, 1960
A calculation is presented of the probability distribution function of the electric field at the center of an ion or atom in a plasma in the high ion density limit. In this limit, it is possible to take into account rigorously the effect of the Coulomb interactions on the distribution function.
