Electric field effects in RUS measurements
Ultrasonics, 2010Much of the power of the Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy (RUS) technique is the ability to make mechanical resonance measurements while the environment of the sample is changed. Temperature and magnetic field are important examples. Due to the common use of piezoelectric transducers near the sample, applied electric fields introduce complications, but

Phase measurement for electric field tomography
Physiological Measurement, 2008The basic principles of electric field tomography (EFT) are briefly explained. EFT system numerical simulation results are given. The comparison of images reconstructed by systems with planar and round electrode arrays is presented. Some aspects of transmitting and measuring stages are discussed.

A Miniature High-Sensitivity Active Electric Field Probe for Near-Field Measurement
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2019A noncontact active electric field probe with miniature size and high sensitivity is designed for the noise location in electronic systems from 9 kHz to 1 GHz. This probe is fabricated in a multilayer printed circuit board (PCB) (dielectric constant of 4.

Electric Vehicle Magnetic Field Measurement
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1993<div class="htmlview paragraph">The magnetic field generated by electric vehicles are the subject of public concern. Preliminary spot measurement results confirm that electric vehicles generate transient magnetic fields which may be quantified with appropriate instrumentation.

IEEE transactions on dielectrics and electrical insulation, 2018
For the development of HVDC electrical insulation performance in liquid dielectric systems such as oil-pressboard (PB) composite systems in DC converter transformers, a Kerr electro-optic electric field measurement (Kerr-EOM) technique has been well ...

The Measure of Atmospheric Electric Field
2011We have developed a prototype of a sensor able to detect and measure electric fields in the atmosphere. The atmosphere is a gaseous envelope gravitationally bound to the Planet. Different atmospheres have very different properties. For instance, the atmosphere of Venus is very thick and cloudy, and is responsible for producing the very high surface ...

Electric field measurements above thunderstorms
Journal of Atmospheric and Terrestrial Physics, 1957Abstract The electric field and conductivity of the atmosphere were measured above thunderstorms in the central Florida area in a series of twenty-five balloon flights made at altitudes ranging from 70,000 to 90,000 ft above sea level. These tests indicate that at these altitudes and for the storms investigated there is a positive current of ...

Electric-Field Shielding and Measurement
1967 IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Symposium Record, 1967Using quasi-static relationships, a fairly simple derivation for the electric-to-electric-field shielding effectiveness was demonstrated. Shielding-effectiveness computations based on this simple approach appear identical to those based on a more rigorous formulation using scattering theory and numerical integration.

Reconstruction of the Near-Field Electric Field by SNOM Measurement
Nano Letters, 2023Scanning near-field optical microscope (SNOM) with nanoscale spatial resolution has been a powerful tool in studying the plasmonic properties of nano materials/structures. However, the quantification of the SNOM measurement remains a major challenge in the field due to the lack of reliable methodologies.
