Retrieving Storm Electric Fields from Aircraft Field Mill Data. Part II: Applications
Abstract The Lagrange multiplier theory developed in Part I of this study is applied to complete a relative calibration of a Citation aircraft that is instrumented with six field mill sensors. When side constraints related to average fields are used, the Lagrange multiplier method performs well in computer simulations.

ANALYSES OF MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUES OF ELECTRIC FIELD AND CURRENTS IN THE ATMOSPHERE [PDF]
Various sources of atmospheric electric fields and their characteristics are surveyed first. The measurement technique of electric fields with a DC type field mill is analyzed second, and then the antenna method for DC electric fields, currents and ...

It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Enhanced leaching of manganese from low-grade pyrolusite using ball milling and electric field
In this study, electric field and ball milling were used to leach Mn2+ from low-grade pyrolusite (LGP). The effects of current density, reaction time, reaction temperature, ball-to-powder weight ratio, and ball milling time on the leaching efficiency of Mn2+ from LGP as well as the leaching mechanism were systematically studied. The results showed that

Trace additions of Sn and Sr combined with a two‐step aging treatment are shown to enhance the microstructure and performance of Al–Zr–Sc conductor alloys. Strength and electrical conductivity increase concurrently through accelerated precipitation of fine Al3(Sc, Zr) precipitates and improved dislocation resistance, offering a cost‐effective pathway ...

Thermophysical Properties of the Desulphurization Slags With Various CaS and CaO/Al2O3 Ratio
This article investigates how CaS content and the CaO/Al2O3 ratio influence the thermophysical properties of desulphurization slags. Using experimental measurements and thermodynamic simulations, this study reveals complex effects on viscosity, surface tension, and density, providing new insight into slag structure and phase behavior under ...
