Fabrication Method of Directional Microstructure for High Energy Density, High Power Battery Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Aqueous directional ice templating (DIT) is developed for making NMC811 cathodes containing vertically aligned pore arrays through electrode thickness. The effects of calendering are studied for the DIT electrodes to find optimal calendering and simultaneously achieve high gravimetric and volumetric energy densities and rate capability for lithium ion ...

PV&EV (Photovoltaic&Electrical Vehicles)

open access: yes, 2012
Photovoltaic systems convertsolar energy directly to electrical energy. Electrical vehicles are beingthought as the future of the vehicle technology. If the surface of the electricvehicles could be covered by photovoltaic cells, it is possible to store considerableamount of energy in the battery system of these vehicles. According to alternations ...

Perfusion Bioreactor Culture Incorporating Mechanical Confinement Enhances Mesenchymal Stem Cell Extracellular Vesicle Production and Wound Healing Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Scalable manufacturing challenges and limited potency remain two of the most intransigent issues limiting clinical translation of EV therapeutics. Mechanical cues can induce phenotypic changes and increased vesiculation in EV source cells without the use of extraneous reagents, chemicals, and/or cargo, thereby potentially drastically improving the ...

ROS Activated NETosis of Bone Marrow CD55+ Intermediate Mature Neutrophils Through HIF1α‐PADI4 Pathway to Initiate Bone Aging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we find CD55+ neutrophils show activated NETosis within bone marrow, induce BMSC senescence and osteogenesis inhibition, finally leading to bone aging initiation. Mechanistically, ROS synergizes with the CD55‐driven HIF1α‐PADI4 pathway to promote NETosis.
