Non Metallic Transport in Molecular Solids versus Dimensionality
Path integral techniques and Green functions formalism are applied to study the (time) temperature dependent scattering of a polaronic quasiparticle by a local anharmonic potential in a bath of diatomic molecules.

Innexin expression in electrically coupled motor circuits
The many roles of innexins, the molecules that form gap junctions in invertebrates, have been explored in numerous species. Here, we present a summary of innexin expression and function in two small, central pattern generating circuits found in crustaceans: the stomatogastric ganglion and the cardiac ganglion.

This study reports lightweight polyetherimide triply periodic minimal surfaces lattices coated with carbon nanotube‐reinforced epoxy that combine mechanical robustness with self‐sensing. The conformal coating enhances stiffness, strength and energy absorption while enabling reliable strain monitoring.

Electrical Quantum Coupling of Subsurface-Nanolayer Quasipolarons
We perform dielectric and impedance spectrums on the compressively-strained ceramics of multiferroic bismuth ferrite. The subsurface-nanolayer quasipolarons manifest the step-like characteristic of pressure-dependent transient frequency and, furthermore,

Cermets (60 vol.% AISI 316L stainless steel, 40 vol.% recycled MgO), intended for use in aluminum electrolysis, were pre‐oxidized in three furnaces with different heating technologies and subjected to a cryolite corrosion test. The different atmospheres influenced the formation of oxide layers, which in turn affected corrosion resistance and ...

Theory of phonon-mediated relaxation in doped quantum dot molecules
A quantum dot molecule doped with a single electron in the presence of diagonal and off-diagonal carrier-phonon couplings is studied by means of a non-perturbative quantum kinetic theory. The interaction with acoustic phonons by deformation potential and

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Creep Properties and Deformation Mechanism of Additively Manufactured NiAl‐CrMo Composites
Additively manufactured NiAl‐CrMo composites contain numerous interfaces and cell boundaries that control their creep response. At 700°C under high applied stress, creep is dominated by dislocation‐controlled power‐law mechanisms. At 800°C–900°C and lower stresses, creep is primarily diffusion‐controlled along cell boundaries.
