Code-Division-Multiplexed Electrical Impedance Tomography Spectroscopy
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems, 2009Electrical impedance tomography uses multiple impedance measurements to image the internal conductivity of an object, such as the human body. Code-division multiplexing is proposed as a new method that can provide simultaneous impedance measurements of the multiple channels.

In-vivo Measurements of Tissue Impeditivity by Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy
2018 40th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC), 2018The electrical properties of biological tissues differ depending on their structural characteristics. In literature, a lot of study have been carried out with the intent of taking advantage of bioimpedance analysis. Unfortunately, many apparatuses used during these evaluations were not always designed for measurements on living tissues.

Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy in Plant Biology
2021Electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a non-invasive approach to characterize the electrical properties such as resistance and capacitance of many materials including biological tissues. For measurement, the plasma membrane acts as an electrical insulator that controls the movement of ions and electrolytes across the cells.

Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy of Prostatic Tissues
2007Prostate cancer has a high rate of incidence in the United State with over 27,000 deaths attributed to the disease in 2006. The current screening methods of digital rectal examination (DRE) and prostatic specific antigen (PSA) monitoring are extremely sensitive to physiological changes in the prostate, however their specificity is limited leading to ...

2014 IEEE 27th Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE), 2014
We proposed a hybrid device, which is capable of measuring either bioelectrical impedance spectroscopy (BIS) or electrical impedance tomography (EIT) based on the Magnitude Ratio and Phase Difference Detection method. Frequency range available for measuring is from 1 kHz to 1 MHz.

Journal of Food Process Engineering, 2016
AbstractFruit ripening is a very crucial event in food engineering as the fruits are very important and essential food materials for human health. Under‐ripening and over‐ripening both are not desirable to have all the essential and important nutrients in the fruits which are only available at their optimum‐ripening state.

Clinical Applications of Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy
2018The aim of this chapter is to give a general view of different applications where EBI and EBIS can play a role. We offer a global glimpse to the readers and some bibliographic references on them, so that, if somebody has a particular interest, he/she can have an initial approach into it.
