Modeling and control of an airbrake electro‐hydraulic smart actuator

Asian Journal of Control, 2011
AbstractIn this paper, an accurate model of an airbrake electro‐hydraulic smart actuator is obtained by physical considerations, and then different control strategies (variable‐gain proportional control, PT1 control with switching integrator, and second order sub‐optimal sliding mode control) are proposed and analyzed. This application is innovative in

VIRTUAL MODELING AND CONTROLLING OF AN ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR

Journal of Science and Technology - IUH, 2021
Instead of experiment, this paper builds a virtual model of the electro-hydraulic actuator (EHA) thought an Amesim software to evaluate the control response. The main feature of the EHA is to use the closed-loop circuit to reduce the size and oil volume as well as to eliminate the pressure loss caused by the orifice area of the valves.

Pressure feedback effects of electro-hydraulic actuator system

2014 11th International Conference on Ubiquitous Robots and Ambient Intelligence (URAI), 2014
Vibration test of electro-hydraulic actuator is widely used in the field of industry like large dynamic system to guarantee the performance of the system. As the system is working under the high speed condition, the dynamic vibration test is required naturally.

Modeling and Control of Electro-Hydraulic Actuator

2019
Modeling and position control of an Electro-Hydraulic Actuator (EHA) system is investigated in this paper. Linear ARX EHA system model is identified by taking the experimental data using system identification toolbox in the MATLAB/Simulink. From the identified models the best fit ARX 331 model is used to design a controller using fuzzy logic and ...

Advantages of Pump Controlled Electro Hydraulic Actuators

2021
Pump controlled hydraulic cylinders or Electro Hydraulic Actuators (EHA) have shown some advantages over common hydraulic systems and Electro Mechanical Cylinder (EMC) systems. EHA applications can be found in airplanes, submarines, mobile hydraulics, etc.

CHAOTIC TRAJECTORY TRACKING FOR AN ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
Abstract Various robust control techniques such as Integral Block Control, Sliding Mode Control and H-infinity Control are combined to design a controller, forcing an electro-hydraulic actuator driven by a servovalve to track a chaotic reference trajectory.

Soft gripper actuated by electro-hydraulic force

Electroactive Polymer Actuators and Devices (EAPAD) XXI, 2019
In this paper, we propose a soft robotic gripper to be mounted easily and to have high actuation force by harnessing electrostatic and hydraulic phenomena. Specifically, we develop a soft actuator to consist of swelling pouches, a silicon backbone beam, and a supplying pouch with electrodes on its both surfaces. The two pouches include dielectric fluid,

Simulation and control of an electro-hydraulic actuated clutch

Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, 2011
The basic function of any type of automotive transmission is to transfer the engine torque to the vehicle with the desired ratio smoothly and efficiently and the most common control devices inside the transmission are clutches and hydraulic pistons. The automatic control of the clutch engagement plays a crucial role in Automatic Manual Transmission ...

ANFIS modeling of electro-hydraulic actuator system

2012 IEEE 8th International Colloquium on Signal Processing and its Applications, 2012
Precise control of electro-hydraulic actuator (EHA) system has been an interesting subject due to its nonlinearities and uncertainties characteristics. Good control can be designed when precise model of the system is available. ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System) modeling technique has proven to be able to model various nonlinear systems. The

A New Development in Multiplex Electro‐hydraulic Actuators

Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1966
THE continuing development of aircraft operational concepts has in recent years resulted in the emergence of a variety of flight control functions which are essential to the safety of the aircraft and which moreover have to be performed automatically, the task being either too difficult for the human pilot, or at least so difficult as to command so ...
