Hydrogen Electrode Reaction on Electrocatalytically Active Metals
1983Studies on the hydrogen electrode reaction (HER) could probably be traced back to the time of Faraday, who observed loss with time of a mixed gas of H2 and O2 once produced and kept in a closed one-compartment electrolysis cell. This was a typical example of what is now called electrocatalysis.(1,2) A parallelism between the hydrogen overpotential and ...

Electrocatalytic activity of transition metal substituted heteropolytungstates
1990The electrochemical and electrocatalytic behavior of a series of heteropolytungstate anions in which a tungsten atom in the well known Keggin structure has been replaced by an iron atom is described. All of the iron substituted ions exhibit a one electron reversible couple associated with the Fe3+ center and a pair of two electron waves attributed to ...

Optimizing Xanthyliums for Electrocatalytic C-H Activation
Xanthyliums are promising candidates for C-H bond activation catalysis due to their high hydride ion affinities (HIAs). Further, it has been observed that electrochemical oxidation of xanthenes is irreversible and results in the formation of the parent xanthylium. This makes xanthyliums useable in an electrocatalytic reaction.openaire +1 more source
