Colorimetric and Photothermal Hollow Nanocomposite Based on Silver‐Seeded Prussian Blue Analog for Dopamine Monitoring and Photothermal Sterilization

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Multi‐element Prussian blue analog (PBA) nanocomposites have attracted wide attention for their superior characteristics to single‐functional nanomaterials in extensive applications of diagnosis and therapy. In this study, a novel hollow nanocomposite was designed and fabricated by embedding S2− and Ag nanoparticles into a NiCuMnFe (PBA).

An Ultrasmall Strontium‐Loaded Polydopamine Nanoformulation for Near‐Infrared‐Enhanced Periodontitis Therapy via Photodynamic Gas‐Promoted Antibacterial and Bone Repair

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Periodontitis is a chronic infectious oral disease triggered by periodontopathogenic bacteria, resulting in the progressive inflammation and destruction of the tissues surrounding teeth. To achieve reprogramming of the infectious microenvironment for periodontitis therapy, a nanoformulation was proposed by loading polydopamine (PDA) with ...

Pulsed Electric Fields for Emerging Single‐Cell Bioprocessing in Food Applications: Electropermeabilization Mechanisms and Design Principles

open access: yesComprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Volume 25, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT This review evaluates pulsed electric fields (PEF) as an emerging platform for single‐cell bioprocessing in food applications. Connections are drawn between key mechanisms in electropermeabilization and applications, and a practical PEF process design framework is provided.
