From bacterial predators to partners: phages in agriculture. [PDF]
Summary Bacteriophages, viruses that infect bacteria, are critical players for shaping the taxonomic and functional composition of plant‐associated microbiomes. Yet, their roles in plant health remain overlooked, along with their implications for sustainable agriculture.

Electrochemistry of Redox Reaction II. On the Kinetic Equations for Chronopotentiometry [PDF]
Basic kinetic equations of chronopotentiometric potential-time curves, in which the equations for reversible, quasi-reversible and irreversible electron transfer process appeared in special cases, were given and a chronopotentiometric method for ...

Electro-extractive fermentation for efficient biohydrogen production [PDF]
Electrodialysis, an electrochemical membrane technique, was found to prolong and enhance the production of biohydrogen and purified organic acids via the anaerobic fermentation of glucose by Escherichia coli. Through the design of a model electrodialysis

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy to study physiological changes affecting the red blood cell after invasion by malaria parasites [PDF]
The malaria parasite, Plasmodium falciparum, invades human erythrocytes and induces dramatic changes in the host cell. The idea of this work was to use RBC modified electrode to perform electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) with the aim of ...

Nano‐ and Micro‐Sized Solid Materials Used as Antiviral Agents
Due to the rise of viral infections in humans and possible viral outbreaks, the use of nano‐ or micro‐sized materials as antiviral agents is rapidly increasing. This review explores their antiviral properties against RNA and DNA viruses, either as a prevention or a treatment tool, by delving into their mechanisms of action and how to properly assess ...

From microbial fuel cell (MFC) to microbial electrochemical snorkel (MES): maximizing chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal from wastewater [PDF]
The paper introduces the concept of the microbial electrochemical snorkel (MES), a simplified design of a “short-circuited” microbial fuel cell (MFC). The MES cannot provide current but it is optimized for wastewater treatment.

By fusing ACE2‐overexpressing membrane‐integrated liposome (MIL) with copper nanoparticles, the biomimetic Cu@MIL nanostructures were created that directly hijack the SARS‐CoV‐2 entry pathway. These particles combine potent virus‐targeting precision with intrinsic antiviral activity, achieving rapid neutralization and disinfection.
