Electrode wear detection system for a boosted furnace with bottom electrodes
Conference Record of the 1988 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2003Modeling and furnace experimentation conducted for the development of an electrode wear detection system for a glass melter are presented. Electrical measurements are used to determine in-glass electrode wear. Errors due to thermal imbalance in the melter are simulated in modeling.
