Effects of exogenous oxytocin on the semen characteristics of the Indonesian wild cattle, banteng (Bos javanicus), collected by electroejaculation: Implications for semen collection techniques and genome resource banking

open access: yesTheriogenology Wild, 2023
Developing protocols that maximize the total sperm output during a semen collection from an endangered species is essential for strategic genome resource banking practices. Exogenous oxytocin has been administered to domestic bovid species prior to semen

Protective Effect of B1 and B12 Vitamins on Post‐Thaw Sperm Quality Parameters and Seminal Plasma Antioxidant Status in Rams

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 2, March 2025.
This study investigated the in vitro effects of B1 and B12 vitamins on sperm quality and seminal antioxidant activity in rams. The results showed that adding 1 mg/mL VitB12 or 0.5 mg/mL VitB1 to the diluent significantly improved ram sperm quality and antioxidant function in semen.

Optimizing treatment efficacy and fertility preservation in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: A narrative review of ovarian shielding with total‐body irradiation or treosulfan‐based conditioning regimens

open access: yesReproductive Medicine and Biology, Volume 24, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Abstract Background Pediatric and adolescent/young adult (AYA) patients with hematologic malignancies often require hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) using conditioning regimens that pose high risks for gonadal toxicity. Traditional protocols, including total body irradiation (TBI) and busulfan‐based regimens, can impair fertility.

Improving reproductive technologies for the conservation of the European mink (Mustela lutreola)

open access: yesTheriogenology Wild
The European mink (Mustela lutreola) is the most endangered mammal in Europe. The limited success of its breeding under captive conditions highlights the need to develop appropriate assisted reproduction techniques.

Fertility preservation in pediatric central nervous system tumors: A report from the Children's Oncology Group

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 71, Issue 11, November 2024.
Abstract The Oncofertility Consortium Pediatric Initiative Network has published recommendations about the risks of infertility due to gonadotoxic therapy. We abstracted gonadotoxic therapies from central nervous system (CNS) Children's Oncology Group (COG) protocols between 2000 and 2022.

Biometria testicular, eletroejaculação e características seminais de caititus, Tayassu tajacu Linnaeus, 1758 (Mammalia, Artiodactyla, Tayassuidae) mantidos em cativeiro na Amazônia Oriental Testicular biometry, electroejaculation and seminal features of captive collared peccaries (Tayassu tajacu Linnaeus, 1758, Artiodactyla, Tayassuidae) raised in the Eastern Amazon

open access: yesActa Amazonica, 2010

Epigenetic changes to gene pathways linked to male fertility in ex situ black‐footed ferrets

open access: yesEvolutionary Applications, Volume 17, Issue 1, January 2024.
Abstract Environmental variation can influence the reproductive success of species managed under human care and in the wild, yet the mechanisms underlying this phenomenon remain largely mysterious. Molecular mechanisms such as epigenetic modifiers are important in mediating the timing and progression of reproduction in humans and model organisms, but ...
