Investigation of the influence of technological conditions of microarc oxidation of magnesium alloys on their structural state and mechanical properties [PDF]
Наведені дослідження структури і властивостей покриттів, отриманих при мікродуговій обробці на магнієвому сплаві. Обробка проводилася при анодно-катодному режимі в лужному електроліті з різними домішками.

Steel samples are investigated using complementary simulations and measurements. Transmission electron microscopy in bright‐field mode, combined with energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy maps for titanium and niobium, reveals distinct particle populations. Simulations reproduce these in size and composition.

Renoprotective impact of angiotensin 1-7: Is it certain? [PDF]
The two important arms of renin angiotensin system (RAS) are angiotensin II (Ang II) and angiotensin1-7 (Ang1-7). Both of these peptides are present in the kidney, while the renal hemodynamic responses to these peptides act differently in kidney ...

Plasma electrolytic oxidation is combined with ultrasonic spray deposition of polycaprolactone (PCL) on WE43 magnesium alloy to improve adhesion, corrosion resistance, and cytocompatibility. The hybrid coating demonstrates significantly reduced hydrogen evolution and enhances mechanical bonding, offering a promising strategy for next‐generation ...

Electrolytes at spherical dielectric interfaces [PDF]
A variational theory is developed and applied to study the properties of dielectric spheres immersed in a symmetric electrolyte solution. In the limit that the radius of the sphere becomes much larger than the Debye screening length, the system reduces ...

Linking Heat Treatment to Plastic Deformation in Pearlitic Steels Through Mesoscale Modeling
Surface wear on rail and wheel steels results from surface deformation during use. This research uses mathematical models to forecast the plastic behavior of pearlitic steels, connected to the microstructure formed during heat treatment. While the cooling rate impacts the steels’ strength, the size of prior austenite grains and blocks does not ...

Background. Renal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) is one of the major causes of kidney failure, and it may interact with renin angiotensin system while angiotensin II (Ang II) type 2 receptor (AT2R) expression is gender dependent. We examined the role of AT2R

Diagnosis and treatment of canine hypoadrenocorticism [PDF]
Canine hypoadrenocorticism (Addison’s disease), the ‘great pretender’ of internal medicine, is a disease that should be frequently considered as a differential diagnosis of several clinical presentations, albeit it is less commonly the actual cause of ...
