Bidirectional Coupling Calculation of Electromagnetic Field and Thermal Field for FSPM Machine

2020 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2020
In this paper, the bidirectional coupling analysis between the magnetic field and thermal field is proposed. The key point is how to find the coupling mechanism between the two fields. Firstly, the accurate iron loss model considering the dc magnetic bias is build based on the Epstein frame, where the effect of temperature on the iron loss is also ...

Analysis of Thermal and Electromagnetic Fields Coupling on Active Array Antennas

2021 International Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES-China) Symposium, 2021
The thermal and electromagnetic field coupling problem has been an important bottleneck for active array antennas. This paper analyzes the coupled muti-field effects on both the active devices and passive antenna. The influence of temperature on a $12^{\ast}12$ array has been simulated.

Numerical Simulation of Coupled Electromagnetic and Thermal Fields in Cable Terminations

TELSIKS 2005 - 2005 uth International Conference on Telecommunication in ModernSatellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services, 2005
This paper deals with the distribution of the conduction current in a high-voltage cable termination with an imperfect insulation or polluted insulation. The thermal effect of the conduction current in an imperfect insulation is included in the model. The case of the variable resistivity of the insulation is included in the analysis of the termination.

Coupled Electromagnetic-Thermal Field Investigation in Induction Heating Device

Solid State Phenomena, 2009
The aim of the work is precise coupled –electromagnetic and temperature field analysis of an induction heating system by finite element method. Presented example is referred to real induction heating system. The problem was solved as nonlinear, transient and axisymmetrical. The numerical model of the coupled fields is based on the finite element method

Calculation of strongly coupled thermal and electromagnetic fields in pulse-loaded devices

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2002
In most applications, the coupling between thermal and electromagnetic fields can be assumed weak without loss of accuracy due to the differences between the time constants in order of magnitudes. But, especially for devices loaded with high electrical energy pulses, this may be no longer valid, since rapid temperature rises may influence electrical ...

Stress and coupled electromagnetic-thermal analysis of field excited flux switching machine

World Journal of Engineering, 2020
Purpose Field excited flux switching machines (FEFSM) are preferred over induction and synchronous machines due to the confinement of all excitation sources on the stator leaving a robust rotor. This paper aims to perform coupled electromagnetic thermal analysis and stress analysis for single phase FEFSM as, prolonged high-speed operational time with ...
