This work presents a biofriendly carbon nanotube yarn artificial muscle operating either as an in‐air unipolar actuator or as a self‐powered ionotronic strain sensor. Using a non‐volatile eutectogel‐derived electrolyte, the system achieves up to 2.9% contraction and 0.5 mV/% strain sensing sensitivity.

Interferometric vector piezoresponse force microscopy is used to reconstruct crystallographic grain orientations in polycrystalline ferroelectrics directly from local electromechanical response. The approach reveals grain orientation, polarization direction, and domain structure simultaneously, establishing a pathway toward EBSD‐like orientation ...

Mesophase Tunable Actuation of Ionic Thiol‐Acrylate Liquid Crystal Elastomers
Thiol‐acrylate ionic liquid crystal elastomers (iLCE) are developed with nematic and cybotactic mesophases and polydomain and monodomain genesis. The effect of genesis, mesophase, and microstructure on electroactuation was studied. ABSTRACT Electroactive polymers (EAPs) are envisioned to play a crucial role in next‐generation soft robotics for their ...

Abstract Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) enhances the flexural capacity of flat slabs and, due to its effectiveness in statically redundant bi‐dimensional elements, represents a viable alternative to conventional reinforcement. Although numerous studies have investigated the flexural behavior of SFRC slabs with and without bonded reinforcement ...
