Plasma EV Proteomics Identifies ECM Remodeling and Inflammatory Proteins LUM and C7 as Candidate Biomarkers in FSHD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most debilitating and common muscular dystrophies. Despite its severity, no approved therapy exists for FSHD patients. However, several therapeutic candidates are currently under development, and some have recently entered clinical trials, marking the need for reliable ...

Rotational excitation of CH+ by electron impact [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
This is the published version, also available here: http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevA.10.788.The cross sections for the rotational excitation of polar diatomic molecular ions by electron impact are formulated within the Coulomb-Born approximation.

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Comparative study of electron temperature in cascaded arc Ar/N2 plasma using laser Thomson scattering combined optical emission spectroscopy approach

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
The expanding cascaded arc Ar/N2 plasma has been investigated by both the active and passive optical diagnostic technologies. In the investigation, the laser Thomson scattering (LTS) and optical emission spectroscopy (OES) have been adopted to measure ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Single-Electron Capture in Intermediate-Energy He+ + Ne Collisions

open access: yesAtoms
State-selective single-electron capture in He+ + Ne collisions was studied at laboratory He+ projectile kinetic energies of 30–100 keV (corresponding to 7.5–25 keV/u) using a reaction microscope.

Observation of O+ 4P-4D0 lines in proton aurora over Svalbard [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Spectra of a proton aurora event show lines of O+ 4P-4D0 multiplet (4639–4696 Å) enhanced relative to the N2 +1N(0,2) compared to normal electron aurora. Conjugate satellite particle measurements are used as input to electron and proton transport models,
