Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Theoretical Investigation on Vortex Electron Impact Excitation of a Mg Atom Confined in a Solid-State Environment

open access: yesAtoms
We present a theoretical investigation of the inelastic scattering of vortex electrons by many-electron atoms embedded in a solid-state environment. Special emphasis is placed on the probability of exciting a target atom and on the relative population of

Electron-impact coherence parameters for electron-impact excitation of laser-excited 174Yb (. . . 6s6p 3P1)

open access: yes, 2011
We have measured and calculated the P3 collision Stokes parameter for electron-impact collisional de-excitation to the ytterbium (. . . 6s6p 3P1) level from the higher-lying 1P1, 3D1,2,3 and 3S1 levels for 20 eV residual energy.

Electron-impact excitation of Ti

open access: yes, 2010
The plasma screening effect on electron-impact excitation is studied by using the relativistic distorted-wave description and exemplified by the excitation of Ti21+ ion.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

DNA‐Templated 2D Heterostructures as Phototriggered Dynamic Nanohybrids: From Releasing Molecular Loads to Controlling Enzyme Biocatalytic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Effect of vacuum polarization on the excitation of hydrogen atom by electron impact

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1981
The vacuum polarization potential is included in the interaction Hamiltonian for 1S−2S excitation of the hydrogen atom by electron impact. The excitation amplitude calculated field theoretically is found to be lowered by 0.47t2/(t2+9)3 where t2=4|P−Q|2,
